  • 1 lb Ground Turkey 93% lean
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider or sweet, unfiltered apple juice
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs whole wheat or gluten-free
  • 1 large Egg acts as a binder
  • 1 small Onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon cozy fall spice
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg cozy fall spice
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice cozy fall spice
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Sage chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme chopped
For the Glaze
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup for sweetness
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard adjust to taste

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, finely diced onion, minced garlic, and spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Add the chopped fresh sage and thyme.
  2. Using a small scoop or your hands, form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place the formed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a spacious skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the chilled meatballs. Sear for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally.
  4. Using the same skillet, pour in the apple cider and add maple syrup and Dijon mustard. Stir well and simmer for approximately 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return the seared meatballs to the skillet, tossing them gently in the glaze until well coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
