  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with half-and-half or coconut cream.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest Freshly squeezed juice is recommended.
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg Freshly grated for best flavor.

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated; can substitute with Grana Padano or omit.
For the Eggs
  • 4 Large Eggs Fresh and at room temperature for best results.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare an oven-safe skillet.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in the skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic in the melted butter for about 1 minute.
  4. Add the spinach and sauté for 3-4 minutes until wilted.
  5. Lower the heat, pour in the heavy cream, lemon zest, and juice, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add a pinch of nutmeg, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Create small wells in the spinach mixture and crack the eggs into them.
  9. Season the eggs with salt and pepper.
  10. Sprinkle more Parmesan on top and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  11. Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.
