Step-by-Step Instructions for Baked Ham with the Best Glaze
  1. Allow the ham to rest covered at room temperature for 2 hours and preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine apricot preserves, honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and unsalted butter. Heat and whisk until it simmers.
  3. Line a large roasting pan with aluminum foil. Place the ham cut-side down in the pan and brush one-third of the glaze over it. Cover with foil and bake.
  4. After the initial bake time, remove the ham, increase the oven temperature to 425°F, and brush another third of the glaze over the ham. Roast uncovered.
  5. Brush the remaining glaze over the ham and roast until caramelized and internal temperature reaches 130-135°F.
  6. Transfer the ham to a serving platter and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.
