Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken wings dry thoroughly using paper towels.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the wings and toss gently until evenly coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried thyme, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt. Mix them well to form a dry rub.
  4. Sprinkle the dry rub mixture generously over the oiled chicken wings and toss to ensure even coating.
  5. Consider refrigerating the coated wings for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
  7. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack with space between each wing.
  8. Bake the wings for 30 minutes. Flip the wings over and continue baking for an additional 20 to 30 minutes.
  9. Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and optional hot sauce.
  10. Simmer the sauce for about 5 to 7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  11. Transfer the baked wings to a large bowl and toss them in the hot sauce.
  12. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
