Filling
  • 1 cup Caramel Candies Can be replaced with chocolate for a different flavor.
  • 2 cups Apples Finely chopped, Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best.
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Can substitute with white sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Nutmeg can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 pinch Salt Sea salt is a good alternative.
Finishing Touches
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Use unsalted butter for better salt control.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a medium baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter, then add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sauté until apples are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Separate and flatten the biscuit dough into small circles.
  4. Place 1 tablespoon of apple filling and a caramel candy in each dough circle.
  5. Seal the dough around the filling and roll into a ball.
  6. Arrange the sealed bombs in the baking dish and brush the tops with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving warm, optionally with ice cream or caramel.
