Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Cook your rice according to package instructions until fluffy and tender.
  3. Prepare your broccoli by steaming or blanching it until bright green and tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, shredded chicken, and steamed broccoli. Add cream of chicken soup, milk, 1 cup of cheese, and all seasonings. Stir well.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the casserole dish and top with remaining cheese. Optionally, sprinkle with buttered breadcrumbs.
  6. Cover and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese bubbles and turns golden brown.
  7. Allow the casserole to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
