Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a deep baking dish by greasing it.
  2. Layer half of the sliced Yukon Gold potatoes on the bottom of the greased baking dish, overlapping slightly.
  3. Add half of the sliced onions over the potatoes, followed by half of the chopped corned beef.
  4. Add half of the chopped green cabbage on top of the corned beef layer and distribute evenly.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, onions, corned beef, and cabbage.
  6. Whisk together the beef broth, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and garlic powder in a separate bowl, then pour over the layered ingredients.
  7. Dot the top with the diced unsalted butter and cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake covered for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving to help it set and make slicing easier.
