Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened, preferably full-fat
  • 1 cup Crab Meat Fresh or canned, King Crab recommended
  • 3 tbls Green Onions Finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated
  • 1/4 cup Italian Parsley Chopped, fresh
  • 1 tbls Worcestershire Sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Mushrooms
  • 12 medium Mushrooms Button or cremini, cleaned
  • 1 spray Olive Oil Spray For coating
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Fresh, Panko or Italian
Optional Enhancements
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper For heat
  • 1 cup Shrimp Optional, can mix with crab

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms and gently remove the stems. Spray olive oil on the caps and arrange them cap side down on a baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, Parmesan, and parsley. Fold in crab meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Scoop about 1½ tablespoons of the crab mixture into each mushroom cap, packing slightly without overflowing.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until mushrooms are golden and filling is heated through.
  6. Switch oven to broil for an additional minute to crisp the tops. Keep a close watch.
