Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prep the Ingredients: Thaw shrimp if frozen, pat dry. Mince garlic and measure out pasta and other sauce ingredients.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water, add pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Sauté Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes each side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add white wine, simmer for 3-4 minutes until reduced.
  5. Finish the Sauce: Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Add reserved pasta water if too thick.
  6. Combine: Add cooked pasta and sautéed shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce. Adjust consistency with more pasta water if needed.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Top with red pepper flakes and parsley, serve immediately while hot.
