Filling
  • 2 cups Fresh Broccoli Florets blanched and chopped
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese full-fat recommended
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 large Egg beaten
Coating
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs lightly coated
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper to taste
Cooking
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • as needed Cooking Spray for air frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Blanch broccoli florets in boiling water for 2 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to halt cooking. Pat dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine blanched broccoli, cream cheese, cheddar, parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until creamy.
  3. Form mixture into 1-2 inch balls and place on a plate or baking sheet.
  4. Pour panko breadcrumbs into a shallow dish and roll each ball to coat thoroughly.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place coated poppers in air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Let cool briefly before serving with dipping sauces.
