For the Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Ranch Seasoning Feel free to substitute with homemade taco seasoning.
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika can be used for a milder flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic is a great alternative, but may alter texture.
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar Omit if you prefer a saltier chip.
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder Shallots or fresh onions can be used for a different taste.
  • ½ teaspoon Salt Adjust to suit your palate.

Equipment

  • Air fryer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine ranch seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, granulated sugar, onion powder, and salt. Stir until evenly distributed.
  2. Using a sharp pizza cutter, slice tortillas into 6 to 8 triangular pieces and lay them out in a single layer.
  3. Lightly spray the tortilla pieces with cooking spray and sprinkle the seasoning mix generously over them. Toss gently to coat all sides.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes. Place the seasoned tortilla pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Carefully remove the Doritos and lay them on paper towels to absorb moisture. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
