  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk or substitute with lemon juice/vinegar and milk
For the Coating
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free flour
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning or seafood seasoning
  • 1 cup Plain Breadcrumbs or panko for extra crunch
  • non-stick Cooking Spray
For the Side
  • 4 cups French Fries homemade or frozen
For Serving
  • 1 cup Tartar Sauce for dipping
  • 1 whole Lemon cut into wedges

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the fish filets dry with paper towels and lay them out on a clean surface.
  2. Combine flour and Old Bay seasoning in one dish, whisk eggs and buttermilk in another, and mix breadcrumbs with Old Bay in a third dish.
  3. Dredge each filet in seasoned flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Lightly spray the coated filets with cooking spray on both sides.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes and arrange filets in a single layer in the basket.
  6. Cook the fish filets for 6-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the filets and serve hot with fries, tartar sauce, and lemon wedges.
