Step-by-Step Instructions for Pastrami Sandwich
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine your broccoli slaw ingredients, mixing well and letting it chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat and melt a knob of salted butter. Add deli pastrami and cook for about 1 minute on each side until crispy and browned.
  3. Take two slices of toasted rye bread, spread Russian dressing on each side, layer with crispy pastrami, broccoli slaw, dill pickles, and Swiss cheese.
  4. Butter the outside of the sandwich and grill it over medium-low heat for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melty.
  5. Remove from the pan, let cool for a minute, slice in half, and serve immediately.
