Step-by-Step Instructions for Pastrami Sandwich
- In a mixing bowl, combine your broccoli slaw ingredients, mixing well and letting it chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat and melt a knob of salted butter. Add deli pastrami and cook for about 1 minute on each side until crispy and browned.
- Take two slices of toasted rye bread, spread Russian dressing on each side, layer with crispy pastrami, broccoli slaw, dill pickles, and Swiss cheese.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich and grill it over medium-low heat for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melty.
- Remove from the pan, let cool for a minute, slice in half, and serve immediately.

Notes
To maintain crispiness, store leftover sandwiches in an airtight container and keep slaw separate until ready to eat. Prepare slaw up to 2 days in advance for enhanced flavor.
