Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. Combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add egg, vanilla extract, milk, and vegetable oil to the dry mixture. Whisk to combine, then mix in hot coffee.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet, add kataifi, and cook until golden brown. Mix in pistachio cream to create the filling.
  6. Melt chocolate and heavy cream together in a microwave-safe bowl to create the chocolate layer.
  7. Spread pistachio filling on top of the cooled cake, then pour the chocolate layer over it.
  8. Cool the assembled cake, slice, and serve warm or chilled, optionally with ice cream.
