- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
- Mash 3–4 very ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until completely smooth.
- Add sugar, a beaten egg, and melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Prepare the streusel topping by mixing brown sugar, flour, and softened butter until crumbly.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and sprinkle the streusel topping on top.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
