  • 1/2 cup Butter (for frosting) Use vegan butter for dairy-free.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Opt for vegan cream cheese if preferred.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Pure vanilla extract is best.
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 pinch Salt Balances the sweetness.
  • 2 tbsp Milk or Heavy Cream Non-dairy milk works well.
  • 1/4 cup Christmas Sprinkles For decoration.

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat the Oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the salted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Incorporate eggs, cake batter flavoring, and pink food coloring into the mixture until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix in all-purpose flour and baking powder until fully incorporated.
  5. Portion the dough into 3-tablespoon balls on the lined baking sheet and flatten slightly.
  6. Bake for 9-11 minutes until puffy and lightly golden around the edges.
  7. Prepare the cream cheese frosting by whipping butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and adjust with milk for consistency.
  8. Frost each cooled cookie and decorate with Christmas sprinkles.
