Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, whole milk, melted butter, and egg whites. Blend on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the prepared batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  4. Once cooled, poke holes all over the surface of the cake.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and half and half until smooth.
  6. Pour the milky mixture over the cooled cake, covering it well. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  8. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled cake and garnish with freshly sliced strawberries.
