Step-by-Step Instructions for Healthy Chocolate Protein Donuts
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan. In a bowl, whisk almond flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add eggs and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
  2. Transfer the batter to a piping bag or resealable plastic bag.
  3. Pipe the batter into each donut cavity, filling them about two-thirds full.
  4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool the donuts in the pan for 5 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Optional: Melt dark chocolate and dip or drizzle it over the cooled donuts.
  7. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
