  • 8 cups Cold Water For diluting the tea.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse 2 cups of strawberries under cold water, then pat dry and dice into small pieces.
  2. Combine diced strawberries with 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Boil, then simmer for 20-30 minutes, mashing strawberries to release their juices. Strain and refrigerate the syrup.
  3. Boil 3 cups of water in a separate pot. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5-10 minutes. Remove tea bags and let it cool slightly.
  4. Once the tea is cool, stir in 1 cup of sugar until dissolved. Pour into a large pitcher, add 8-10 cups of cold water, strawberry syrup, and juice from 1 lemon. Mix gently.
  5. Cover the pitcher and chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Serve in glasses filled with ice cubes and garnish with lemon and strawberry slices.
