Step-by-Step Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips and sear in the skillet for 5-6 minutes until rich brown. Remove and set aside.
- Add another tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet, increase heat, and sauté chopped red and green bell peppers and white onion for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Return the cooked ribeye to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables for about a minute.
- In a medium bowl, whisk minced garlic, black pepper, minced ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, beef broth, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet over beef and vegetables, increase heat slightly, and simmer for 4-5 minutes while stirring.
- Once the sauce thickens, remove from heat and serve hot over rice, optionally garnished with sesame seeds.
