  • 1/2 unit Lemon Juice Fresh lemon juice enhances flavor.

  • 4 units Brioche Buns Consider soft rolls or garlic knots as alternatives.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  2. Carefully shell the crab legs, discarding the shells, and break the meat into bite-sized chunks or steam fresh crab for about 6-8 minutes until cooked.
  3. In a medium pan, add a couple of tablespoons of garlic butter over low heat and gently warm. Add crab meat and stir to coat, heating for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Mix in chopped chives, dill, parsley, and lemon juice into the warmed crab.
  5. Preheat broiler on high. Place brioche buns cut side up on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  6. Spoon crab mixture into each brioche bun, drizzle with remaining garlic butter, and add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
