Step-by-Step Instructions for Gyoza Recipe
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped green onions, finely shredded cabbage, pressed garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Lay out round wonton wrappers on a clean, dry surface. Place about a teaspoon of the filling mixture in the center of each wrapper, taking care not to overfill.
- Lightly brush the edges of each wrapper with water, fold in half to encase the filling, pinch the edges together, and create pleats for a traditional look.
- Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add gyoza in a single layer and fry for about 3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy.
- Carefully add water to the skillet, cover with a lid, and let steam for 3-4 minutes until the filling is cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the gyoza and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
