Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Toppings
  • 1 cup pizza sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup pepperoni
  • 1 cup bell peppers sliced
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Making the Dough
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone inside.
  2. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle and place it on a pizza peel.
  3. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, then add mozzarella, pepperoni, bell peppers, and parmesan.
  4. Carefully slide the pizza onto the hot stone. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden.
  5. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.
