Step-by-Step Instructions for Insanely Juicy BBQ Chicken
- Start by bringing the chicken thighs or drumsticks to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine kosher salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well to create a dry rub and coat the chicken pieces.
- Prepare your grill by setting one side for high, direct heat and the other side off for indirect grilling. Preheat the grill to medium-high, about 375°F to 400°F.
- Place the seasoned chicken on the cooler side of the grill, skin-side up. Close the lid and let cook for 30-35 minutes, flipping every 10 minutes.
- Once the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160°F to 165°F, brush a layer of BBQ sauce over the top. Move the chicken to the hotter side of the grill and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes
Ensure to monitor the internal temperature and let the chicken rest before serving for juicy results.
