  • Fresh Mint Leaves Optional garnish.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Trifle dish
  • Serrated knife

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by pouring 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream on medium speed for about 2–3 minutes until soft peaks begin to form and it becomes fluffy.
  2. Gradually add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the whipped cream. Continue beating on medium-high speed for an additional 2–3 minutes until stiff peaks form.
  3. While the whipped cream sets, take about 10 ounces of angel food cake and cut it into 1-inch cubes using a serrated knife.
  4. In a decorative trifle dish, begin by layering half of the angel food cake cubes at the bottom.
  5. Spoon half of the prepared vanilla pudding over the cake cubes; follow this with half of your whipped cream.
  6. Next, sprinkle half of your mixed berries over the whipped cream layer.
  7. Now, repeat the layering process with the remaining angel food cake, pudding, whipped cream, and mixed berries.
  8. Cover the trifle dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  9. When ready to serve, uncover your delightful Angel Food Berry Trifle and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
