- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, bacon, and cheddar cheese. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into patties, about 1 inch thick. Create a small dimple in each patty's center.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat (about 350°F). Lightly oil the grates if using a grill.
- Place the patties on the grill/skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side without pressing down.
- Flip the patties and cook for another 5-7 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to check for desired doneness.
- Slice hamburger buns and toast them on the grill/skillet for about 1 minute until lightly toasted.
- Serve the cooked patties on the toasted buns topped with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayonnaise.
