Ingredients

Method
 

Prepare the Tzatziki
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, grated cucumber, and chopped dill. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix until smooth and creamy, cover, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
Cook the Beef
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Stir in ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
Season the Beef
  1. Add oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the beef, stir well for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Warm the Pita
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Wrap pita in foil or toast in the skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side.
Assemble the Gyros
  1. Place a scoop of seasoned beef in the center of warmed pita. Top with red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and tzatziki sauce.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Sprinkle feta cheese over the assembled gyros, roll tightly and serve immediately.
