Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cube the bread into bite-sized pieces and layer half in the baking dish.
  3. Layer the ham slices over the bread, then sprinkle half of the Swiss cheese on top.
  4. Whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Pour half the egg mixture over the layers in the baking dish.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining bread, ham, and Swiss cheese.
  7. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top layer and press down gently.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
