  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Or fresh onions
For the Broth Mixture
  • 4 cups Beef Broth Vegetable broth can be used
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce Essential for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Low-sodium recommended
For Assembly
  • 4 pieces Hoagie Rolls Soft and fresh
  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese Optional, can be swapped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Optional, for garnish

Preparation Steps
  1. Pat the beef chuck roast dry and rub with olive oil. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Optional: Sear the beef in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce in a bowl, then pour it over the roast in the Crockpot.
  4. Cover the Crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. After cooking, shred the beef using two forks and mix it back into the juices.
  6. Slice the hoagie rolls in half and optionally broil with provolone cheese until melted.
  7. Assemble the sandwiches with shredded beef and serve warm with au jus for dipping.
