Ingredients

For the Crust
  • 24 cookies Crushed Golden Oreos Substitute with graham crackers for a milder flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter Use coconut oil for a dairy-free version.
For the Cream Cheese Layer
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Opt for low-fat cream cheese for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Can substitute with a sugar alternative if desired.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Any plant-based milk can be used.
  • 1 cup Cool Whip Homemade whipped cream works well for a non-processed version.
For the Jello Layer
  • 1 pkg Strawberry Jello Consider swapping for raspberry or peach jello if strawberries aren’t available.
  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries Frozen strawberries can be used, but may alter texture.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • 9x13-inch pan

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Golden Oreos with melted butter, stirring until the mixture is moist and crumbly. Firmly press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk, mixing until fully combined. Fold in Cool Whip until there are no streaks, then spread over the chilled crust. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the strawberry jello following package instructions. Let it cool at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes until it thickens slightly. Pour the jelly over the cream cheese layer and scatter sliced fresh strawberries on top. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Once the jello layer is set, gently spread the remaining Cool Whip over the jello. Decorate with additional sliced strawberries. Chill for another 30 minutes.
  5. Allow the lasagna to chill for at least 3 hours before serving. Cut into squares, and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve chilled.
