Ingredients

For the Base
  • 8 pieces Oatmeal Creme Pies Offers a chewy texture and sweet flavor; using Little Debbie makes it easy!
For the Cream Filling
  • 8 oz Whipped Cream Cheese Creates a rich and creamy layer; mascarpone is an excellent traditional substitute.
  • 0.5 cup Granulated Sugar Sweetens the filling for perfect balance; brown sugar provides deeper flavor if preferred.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Enhances overall flavor; opt for pure vanilla extract for a more robust taste.
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon Adds warm spice notes; pumpkin pie spice can be used for a festive twist.
For Layering
  • 0.25 cup Brewed Coffee Compliments the chocolate well; decaffeinated coffee works perfectly too.
  • 0.25 cup Chocolate Syrup Brings sweetness and richness; consider caramel syrup for a delightful change.
For Topping
  • 8 oz Cool Whip Free Lightens up the filling; homemade whipped cream is a fun alternative!
  • Cocoa Powder Dusts the top and adds a chocolaty finish.

Equipment

  • 8 or 9-inch square baking dish

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by lining an 8 or 9-inch square baking dish with aluminum foil, ensuring an overhang on the edges for easy removal later.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of whipped cream cheese, ½ cup of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Fold in 8 ounces of Cool Whip.
  3. Take 8 Oatmeal Creme Pies and place them flat on the bottom of your prepared baking dish. Cut edges if necessary to cover the base completely.
  4. Drizzle half of the chocolate syrup and ¼ cup of brewed coffee evenly over the pies. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the soaked pies.
  5. Add another layer of the remaining Oatmeal Creme Pies, drizzle with remaining coffee and chocolate syrup. Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over this second layer.
  6. Dust the top with cocoa powder and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let flavors meld.
