  • 4 cups chopped hearts of romaine other types can work but romaine is best
  • 1 cup croutons choose your favorite type
For the Dressing
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing homemade or store-bought
  • ½ cup shaved Parmesan cheese substitute with grated Parmesan if needed
Seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and add the bowtie pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold running water.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine and cooled bowtie pasta. Gently toss to combine.
  3. Pour the Caesar dressing over the pasta and romaine mixture, then gently toss until evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle shaved Parmesan and croutons over the salad, then gently toss again to combine.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately.
