  1. Heat a large wok or skillet over high heat until it starts to smoke (2-3 minutes). Add a couple of tablespoons of cooking oil.
  2. Add the minced garlic and freshly grated ginger to the hot oil. Stir them for about 30 seconds until aromatic and slightly golden.
