Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is golden.
  4. Transfer the beef and onion mix into the greased baking dish. Layer sliced potatoes on top, then sprinkle salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheese, then pour the beef broth around the edges.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole cool briefly, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
