Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
- Create a well in the dry ingredients and pour in warm water and olive oil, stirring to combine.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Shape the dough into a ball, place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Cook and chop turkey bacon and chicken ham, then combine with diced bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, cheese, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Punch down the risen dough, divide into 6 pieces, and roll each into a 6-inch circle on a floured surface.
- Lay each dough circle flat, add filling on one half, fold over, and seal the edges securely.
- Beat an egg and brush over each calzone for a golden finish, optionally sprinkle with salt.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes before placing calzones inside.
- Cook calzones in the air fryer for 12–15 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway if needed.
- Let calzones cool on a wire rack and serve warm with marinara sauce or a dip.

Notes
For best results, ensure vegetable fillings are drained to avoid sogginess and seal calzones tightly.
