For the Turkey Patty
  • 1 lb Organic 94% Lean Ground Turkey Swap with ground chicken or beef if desired.
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt Kosher salt can be used as a substitute.
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Feel free to use white pepper for a milder taste.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder 1 clove of fresh garlic = 1/8 tsp garlic powder.
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Use regular paprika if out.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Finely chopped fresh onion can be an alternative.
  • 1 tsp Ground Mustard Dijon or mustard seeds can be used as substitutes.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Opt for tamari or soy sauce for gluten-free.
  • 1 tbsp Vegan Butter Consider using olive oil or avocado oil as substitutes.
  • 1 cup Dairy-Free Cheddar Cheese Regular cheddar is an option for non-dairy-free diets.
  • 4 pieces Buns (Brioche, Potato, or Hamburger) Gluten-free buns for gluten sensitivities.
  • 1/4 cup Bacon Jam Omit or swap with vegan bacon jam as desired.
  • 1/4 cup Pickles (Bread & Butter or Dill) Optional for crunch.
For the BBQ Ranch Sauce (Dairy-Free)
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Mayonnaise Regular mayo can substitute.
  • 1/4 cup BBQ Sauce Ensure it’s vegan if that’s your choice.
  • 1/4 cup Almond Milk (Unsweetened) Any plant-based milk can be used.
  • 2 tbsp Fresh or Dried Cilantro Parsley is a lovely alternative.
  • 1 tsp Dill Italian seasoning can substitute.
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt Adjust for taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the Bacon Jam by simmering it according to your recipe until thickened, about 30-40 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, ground mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into four medium-sized patties.
  3. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and melt vegan butter. Sear the turkey patties for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the patties for an additional 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Whisk together vegan mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, almond milk, cilantro, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt until smooth.
  6. Assemble your burgers by placing each turkey patty on a bun, topping with bacon jam, BBQ ranch sauce, and pickles.

Notes
