Step-by-Step Instructions for Ham and Cheese Pinwheels
  1. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, rolling into a rectangle measuring about 10x12 inches.
  2. Spread 1.5 tablespoons of Dijon mustard over the puff pastry, leaving a 0.5-inch border.
  3. Layer 6 slices of deli ham across the mustard-covered pastry, then sprinkle with 1 cup of grated cheese.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly from one long edge into a log shape, trim uneven ends, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  5. Repeat the rolling and filling process with the second sheet of puff pastry.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Slice the chilled logs into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels and place them cut-side up on the baking sheets.
