Step-by-Step Instructions for Mushroom Cream Sauce
  1. Begin by melting 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add finely chopped shallots and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender and translucent.
  2. Add 8 ounces of sliced baby bella mushrooms, stirring well. Cook for 8-10 minutes until they release moisture and turn golden brown.
  3. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour over the mushrooms, stirring for about 1 minute to cook out the raw taste.
  4. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of chicken broth, stirring until lump-free. Increase heat to reach a gentle simmer for 3-4 minutes.
