Prepare the Batter
- In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, baking powder, salt, and ground black pepper. Set aside.
Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In a small bowl, combine oat milk and Louisiana-style hot sauce, whisk until well blended.
Heat the Oil
- In a large deep skillet, pour enough vegetable oil to reach about ½ inch depth and heat on medium-high to approximately 350°F.
Double Batter the Cauliflower
- Dip a cauliflower floret into the oat milk mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture. Repeat for double coating.
Fry the Cauliflower
- Carefully place the coated cauliflower into the hot oil in small batches. Fry for 1-2 minutes until golden brown, flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Drain Excess Oil
- Transfer the fried cauliflower to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Repeat until all florets are fried.
Serve and Enjoy
- Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauces.
