Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Season the beef roast with salt and pepper, letting it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear the seasoned beef roast on all sides for about 3-4 minutes until golden-brown.
  3. Remove the beef and add onions and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 5 minutes before mixing in cranberry sauce and balsamic vinegar. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Place the seared beef in a roasting pan, pour the glaze over it, and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  5. Braise in the oven for approximately 4 hours until fork-tender, checking occasionally to ensure it remains moist.
  6. Let the roast rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving with the glaze.
