  • 1 tablespoon milk

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until the dough forms.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion out the dough and place on prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown and centers are slightly underbaked.
  8. Let the cookies cool for about 5 minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  10. Frost the cooled cookies with the cream cheese mixture and enjoy!
