  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar or coconut sugar for a twist
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips semi-sweet, milk, or dark

Baking Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream unsalted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in room temperature eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients and stir until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Drop generous amounts of dough onto prepared sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack.
