- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, and 2-3 sliced fresh peaches. Turn the heat to medium and stir while gently mashing the peaches. Cook until a gentle boil is reached, around 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let the peach syrup simmer for 30 minutes.
- After simmering, remove from heat and strain the syrup through a fine sieve into a bowl or jar.
- In a heatproof pitcher, bring 6 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and steep 3 black tea bags for 5 minutes.
- Once cooled, mix the peach syrup with the brewed tea and chill for at least 24 hours.
- Serve over ice with fresh peach slices as garnish.
