For the Salad Filling
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt as a lighter alternative

  • 1 cup Green Leaf Lettuce or spinach
  • 2 tablespoons Red Onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Banana Peppers or jalapeños for spice

Equipment

  • nonstick skillet

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, grated Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder until well blended. Spread this mixture on the outer sides of each slice of sturdy bread.
  2. Layer an assortment of your favorite melting cheeses on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread, followed by slices of turkey meats. Add more cheese on top, then place another slice of bread on top, buttered sides facing outward.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over low heat and place the assembled sandwich in the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cheese starts to melt.
  4. Flip the sandwich carefully to the other side and cook for another 5-6 minutes until golden and cheese is oozing.
  5. Mix mayonnaise, red grape juice vinegar, remaining Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and cracked pepper in a bowl. Add shredded lettuce, sliced red onions, and banana peppers, tossing until coated.
  6. Once toasted, cut the sandwich in half and load each half with the salad mixture. Serve immediately for the best experience.
